Tae Kwon Do


A fairly modern Martial Art from Korean. It is a stand up system loosely based on Karate but with many more kicks added in, to make this a fast paced dynamic Martial Art. The art of Tae Kwon Do encompasses the five tenets

Training involves learning kicks, strikes, blocks and combinations known as forms or patterns, all of which are great for balance, co-ordination, core strength, flexibility and fitness, plus discipline and self control being but a few of the personal skills gained from the training.


Tae Kwon-Do will improve your fitness, flexibility and most of all your confidence. It will help you to control or channel your aggression should the need arise. Right from the first lesson you will start developing a whole new range of skills and capabilities with the opportunity to realise self achievement.


Tae Kwon Do is safe, practical and most of all enjoyable.


Classes are available for Juniors (from 6 to 10 years old)


Wednesday and Friday at 16:30


Kick Boxing


A generic name for the modern sport version of the traditional martial arts. Classes involve learning punch, kick and strike combinations, use of training pads and punch bags.


Fitness and stamina work are also a big part of the training. As well as getting all the benefits of traditional Martial Arts training, Kickboxing is also great for fitness, stress relief and overall body toning and strength.



History of Kick Boxing


Kick-Boxing is a relatively new discipline in the field of Martial Arts with a history of approximately 50 years. Born in the USA, kick-boxing was originally influenced by the incredibly hard discipline of Thai-Boxing. It has now been developed in to a safe and fun fitness training system, but still with all the elements of ring combat for those who want to take it to the next level.


Beginner classes Tuesday and Thursday


Juniors at 17:00 and Adults at 18:45

Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 16:00, Thursday at 16:30


White Collar Boxing


So you have watched all the Rocky films and you now want to know what it is like to train like a Pro Boxer. Time to come and find out, our White Collar Boxing classes give you all the benefits of the training that professional boxers use.


Each class combines: Footwork training; Punch combinations; Defensive skills; Fitness work. The trainers will work on your hand speed on pads and your footwork with the jump rope. Each class gives you professional style boxing training to get you in the shape you have always wanted.


White Collar Boxing is as the name suggests, for all you professionals out there, men and women, that leave work feeling stressed and tense, needing a way to let off steam. There is no better outlet for releasing all that energy than hitting the bags.


If you feel like getting in the ring, why not train for a White Collar Boxing Show. We train a number of fighters to compete.
